Nabisco Premiums

nabiscocerealdinopic.jpg

In the 1950s and the 60s, Nabisco cereals (namely Rice Honeys) featured dinosaur and prehistoric mammal figures as premiums. These were little plastic guys, who initially came only in silver, but later showed up in a wider array of colors. They also came with Fritos. The figures were made by a company called Lido, famous for making toy soldiers.

These are nice figures, in my opinion. Not only are they highly collectible, there are a couple of figures you just don't see much in dino-toys. Barylambda, one of the mammals, is one example. For free giveaway toys, these are surprisingly well done.

The following pages contain pictures and short reviews of the Lido/Nabisco dinos.
